LIKE THE WIND THAT'S FREE:
SMALL WORKS BY
SAMARA KUPFERBERG
& COREY JENNINGS

In this mind expanding show of small drawings, works by both artists intermingle on the walls as our eyes drift across pages, bouncing between Kupferberg’s other worldly abstract pencil drawings and Jennings’ captivating exploratory text compositions.

Over and over our eyes land on a word, a line, a shadow, or a moment in time that we connect with and in doing so are drawn both into the minds of the artists and simultaneously into our own subconscious, as sparks begin to ignite and ancient longings resurface.

Like the wind that’s free, Corey and Samara share an ability to connect with the state of pure freedom that can be accessed when all other thoughts escape the mind and the calming breeze of creative flow clears the mist from the air. Drawing then becomes the means to lift us out of our routine familial and societal obligations in order to experience the free fall into wide open space where anything one might desire becomes possible.
