Pianist Morgan Flanigan of Maine is the 2023 Grand Prize winner of the Chicago International Music Competition’s Rising Star division and was 2nd in her age category of the Stockholm International Competition’s 2023 online division. Morgan’s pedigree of experience in both solo and collaborative performance spans numerous well-known festivals and competitions in the United states, including performances at the Atlantic Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival, Classical WSMR Radio, and others, in addition to international appearances in Sweden and England. A 2022 graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music with majors in Piano Performance and Music Theory, with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy, she will complete her Master’s degree this spring from the same institution under the guidance of Kathryn Brown. In September, Morgan plans to commence studies with Vanessa Latarche in the Artist Diploma program at the Royal College of Music in London, England.

This newly renovated space at 28 Neal St in Portland’s idyllic West End features a stage constructed out of the pews originally housed in the former church’s space at PCM. The performance space now seats approximately 150.
