Joe Fonda is a bassist composer,recording Artist, interdisciplinary performer and producer. Joe Fonda is an accomplished international jazz artist. He performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia both as a leader and as a side man. He has collaborated and performed with such artists as Anthony Braxton, Wadada Leo Smith, Billy Bang, Barry Altschul, Bill Baron, Mark White Cage, Perry Roberson, Archie Sheep, Steve Macraven, Randy Weston, and tap dancer Brenda Bufalino. Fonda was the bassist with the renowned Anthony Braxton Quartet, Sextet, Tentet and Tri Centric Orchestra from from 1984 through 2000. Fonda was the bassist for Brenda Bufalino and the American Tap Dance Orchestra from 2001 through 2020. As a composer Fonda has received grants from New England Foundation on the Arts, Meet the Composer, Jazz Foundation of New York City, South Arts, New York state commission on the Arts, and Chamber Music America. As a producer, Fonda curated the Connecticut Composers and Improvisors Festival from 2005 to 2022. Fonda has produced over 15 recordings under his name and has recorded over 55 CDs or LPs as a collective member or side man for many well known ensembles. Fonda Tours both the U.S. and Europe regularly with pianist Satoko Fuji, Conference Call, Barry Altschul and 3 Dom Factory, New Origins trio, and the Joe Fonda Quartet.

Terry Jenoure, violinist and vocalist is dedicated to an interdisciplinary life that blends music with storytelling, research, writing, and visual art. Significantly influenced by the Black avant garde of the 1970s and mentored by innovators of the Free Jazz movement, she has recorded and performed in the bands of Archie Shepp, Leroy Jenkins, John Carter, Marion Brown, Henry Threadgill, and others. She has led ensembles and conducted workshops on five continents and continues to build new, vibrant work. Terry holds a doctoral degree in Education and was on the graduate faculty of Lesley University for 20 years while concurrently serving as Director of Augusta Savage Gallery at the University of Massachusetts for 30 years. She is currently writing a book, part memoir and part methodology, and is a 2023 Creative Capital awardee.

Angelica Sanchez is a composer, pianist, and educator whose music has been described as “seeking out the lyrical heartbeat within any avant-garde storm.” Since moving to New York in 1995, she has collaborated with artists including Wadada Leo Smith, Paul Motian, Nicole Mitchell, Rob Mazurek, and Marilyn Crispell, performing throughout North America and Europe. Sanchez leads several acclaimed ensembles. Her nonet recording Nighttime Creatures was named one of DownBeat’s Best Recordings of 2023, while her trio album Sparkle Beings with Michael Formanek and Billy Hart was selected as one of The New York Times’ Top Ten Jazz Recordings of 2022. Her duo recording with Marilyn Crispell, “How to Turn the Moon”, was included in NPR’s Top 50 Recordings of 2020. Sanchez is Associate Professor of Music at Bard College and a faculty member of the Bard Prison Initiative.

RJ Miller is a North-American drummer, composer and educator whose technical competencies in jazz are complemented by an interest in the exploration of improvisational electronic and ambient music. He’s collaborated with musicians George Garzone, Masabumi Kikuchi, Meshell Ndegeocello, Ben Street, Thomas Morgan, Bill McHenry, Jorge Rossy and Jakob Bro throughout Europe and New York City, most notably at the Village Vanguard with Aaron Parks.
