There are few more powerful experiences in music than Carmina burana. From its dramatic opening of “O! Fortuna,” Orff sets the stage for a dramatic and captivating work full of robust vocals and hypnotic rhythm. Serving as a counterpoint are two works featuring the Silver-Garburg Piano Duo, including Bach’s Concerto for Two Pianos and String Orchestra.
Please note: Due to unexpected circumstances, Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 6 for Two Pianos and Strings will no longer be performed as part of this concert.
Online access to this pre-recorded concert will be available from 5/19 through 6/16.
