Ukrainian singer-songwriter Maryna Krut, aka KRUT?, is a virtuoso of the bandura, a stringed instrument unique to Ukraine that looks and sounds like a lute and harp hybrid, resulting in harpsichord-like effect that is both delicate and assertive.
With her atmospheric voice and extraordinary musical elegance, Krut’s compelling, soulful performances evoke both folk and modern sensibilities, with pop and jazz flourishes.
