This event has passed.

Boulogne was a black violinist, composer, champion fencer and revolutionary. Born in the Caribbean to a slave and a plantation owner, Boulogne was raised as a nobleman in Paris. Sometimes compared and referred to as the “Black Mozart”, he was an amazing and heroic figure. A recent movie, “Chevalier”, has shed more light on his unique exploits. Additionally, this concert will be the conducting capstone concert for Jeff Mosher, who will be finishing his degree in Orchestral Conducting at USM. Robert Lehmann, Director of String Studies and Orchestral Activities at the Osher School of Music, will be the featured soloist, with his student conducting.
