DVOŘÁK | Symphony No.9 in E minor (From the New World)
Known for incorporating rhythms and other aspects of the folk music of his home country in his works, Dvořák sought the same inspiration when he came to America. In composing his New World Symphony, Dvořák was inspired by African-American spirituals and Native American music, which he saw as the foundation for creating an American style of composition.
