The big top is ADA-compliant and our staff is ready to assist those with accessibility, sensory, or mobility concerns to enjoy the show. Wheelchairs can be accommodated at the ground floor level of the bleachers.

Accessible seating for patrons with disabilities may be purchased in person at the PortTIX box office, by calling PortTIX at (207) 842-0800, or on our website. In person and telephone sales are available during normal business hours (Mon-Fri, 11am–3pm). Please inform your ticket agent of your needs at the time of purchase.

To purchase wheelchair accessible tickets online, simply select the “Wheelchair Accessible” zone option when purchasing tickets, and indicate the number of patrons attending in wheelchair using the “Patron in wheelchair” ticket type. There are a limited number of Wheelchair accessible locations so please make sure to choose the appropriate options online.

The Smirkus midway tent opens one hour before showtime. The big top tent opens 30 minutes before showtime. Seating is general admission, so plan to be in line, tickets in hand, early enough to claim your favorite seats!

Only food and drinks purchased in our concessions are allowed in the big top tent. Personal water bottles are permitted, but there is no water source to refill on site.

The Smirkus midway tent features Smirkus novelties and food concessions that include popcorn, pretzels, cotton candy, ice cream, Italian ice, bottled water/lemonade/iced tea. Our popcorn is popped in coconut oil. We do not sell peanuts.

Shows go on rain or shine. Bring umbrellas and your rain gear if rain is in the forecast. On warm days, we have a ventilation system within the big top that helps to circulate the air, misters/sprinklers are outside for cooling off, cool beverages to quench your thirst, and hand fans are available in the Smirkus midway tent!

Due to fire regulations and available space, car seats or strollers will not be allowed in the tent. There will be stroller parking available near the entrance of the big top, please plan accordingly.

If  someone in your party is sensitive to loud music, you may want to consider bringing noise-canceling headphones. Ear plugs are available from the House Manager. Bright lights and strobe effects may be in use.
